Perinatal Educator Certificate

The Perinatal Educator Certificate course is comprised of three modules: Childbirth Educator class, Labor Support class, and Lactation Education class—each with a clinical component. Students must complete all three modules and associated clinicals to receive the Perinatal Educator Certificate.

The benefit of earning a Perinatal Educator Certificate is that it allows you to serve your clients in a more holistic way. This three-part Perinatal Educator certificate course honors the idea that birth education, labor support, and breastfeeding should not be fragmented services, but rather intimately linked to provide the best possible care and experience to mothers, babies, and family members. After receiving your Perinatal Educator Certificate, you will be qualified to:

1) Educate your clients about childbirth during their pregnancies,

2) Provide labor support at the time of birth, and

3) Offer breastfeeding support postpartum.
